Damion represents clients in complex business and employment disputes, including real estate, technology startups, and financial services. He has experience in cases involving complex contracts, secured transactions, business torts, intellectual property, and unfair competition. Damion has also represented creditors and investors in bankruptcy and receivership proceedings.
Before joining the firm, Damion was a litigation and restructuring associate at Sullivan & Cromwell, LLP, an international law firm, and then a partner at Van Vleck, Zaller and Robinson LLP, a litigation boutique. He has devoted significant time to public service, including working closely with the ACLU and Public Counsel to establish the right of mentally-challenged immigrants to counsel in immigration proceedings.
- Secured a confidential seven-figure settlement for a real estate investor against its property insurance company in a case involving bad faith and coverage disputes.
- Defended the same investor against $12 million guaranty claim by its secured lender over the failure of the same project.
- Represented homebuyer in suit against seller alleging defective title, and secured pre-judgment attachment of seller’s assets, prompting a settlement for total value in excess of the value of the home, plus attorney’s fees, costs, and interest.
- Represented investor defrauded in complex securities transaction against sponsors and alter egos, and obtained a non-dischargeable judgment of over $700,000, representing the entire investment, plus attorney’s fees, costs, and interest.
